The illustration shows the correct assembly for the 8-way bayonet connector. In instances where the flange mounting is not being used, the 8-way pin housing may be mounted directly into an alternative component such as a rear lamp cluster. There are two versions of the pin and socket housing available, one for 8 off 2.6mm diameter terminals Part No MPJ08-1 and MSB08-1. The other accommodates 7 off 1.6mm diameter terminals and 1 off 3.5mm diameter terminals. In order for this connector to be assembled correctly, it is essential that all of the packing rings and seals be installed as shown.
