EziPAK® Heat Shrink Harness Repair Kit
HELLA has developed a new range of EziPAK® service kits to meet the need of mobile field service technicians maintaining mining machines on site.
EziPAK® kits are based on many years of practical experience. Each kit is contained in an impact resistant and washable, heavy- duty injection moulded carry case that slides into a self locking modular double storage tray for easy installation into field service vehicles, or use as a central storage point in the workshop environment.
TheEziPAK® kit comprises six of the most popular size heat shrink sleeves as well as five different sized solder sleeves. A battery operated soldering iron and a flameless heat gun are also part of the kit.
HELLA adhesive-lined, medium-wall heat-shrink sleeving is a versatile, environmentally friendly choice for many commercial and heavy-duty mining applications that require mechanical protection and sealing against moisture and chemical ingress, whilst maintaining flexibility when installed. Typical applications include environmental sealing and protection or irregular shapes, such as wire splices, breakouts and connector-to-cable transitions, in demanding industries. HELLA heat-shrink sleeving features an outer jacket of radiation-cross linked, flexible, flame-retardan polyolefin. Unlike other typic flame-retardant sleeving, HELLA Mining sleeving is free of polybrominated biphenyl oxides (PBBOs). In Europe, these chemicals are classified as environmentally hazardous substances.
As the sleeving shrinks, the inner adhesive liner melts and flows to seal and encapsulate components or splices contained within. The adhesive bonds to a wide range of plastics, rubber and metals, including polyethylene, neoprene and steel. With a high shrink ratio of 3:1, only a few sizes of HELLA heat-shrink sleeving are needed to cover a wide range of substrate diameters and irregular shapes, enhancing inventory efficiency. HELLA heat-shrink sleeving is UL recognized (E35586) and CSA-certified (LR31929) at 125ºC, 600V.
Additional empty carry cases and rack modules are also available to allow service teams to create their own customised kits if needed.
